Clean Energy Transition Tanzania

The Clean Energy Transition Tanzania outlines a roadmap to universal access to electricity by 2030 and a fully decarbonized electricity sector by 2050, including the role of transitional fuels such as natural gas.

Building on existing plans and policies, the report will serve as an analytical basis for the transition – identifying the potential, estimating the costs, and providing recommendations as to how development partners and Tanzanian stakeholders best can target their resources to support this development.

The report also illustrates the potential benefits for the Tanzanian people, with a particular focus on women’s possibilities, when it comes to job creation and skills development.
