The contract includes both the construction of new substations and refurbishments and voltage upgrades at existing substations. The projects covered by the contract will help to improve the reliability of Norway’s power supply.
“The award of this framework contract reinforces Multiconsult’s position as the leading supplier of design services to the Norwegian energy sector,” says Head of Marketing Tom Ødegaard.
The framework contract runs for two years, with options for a further 1 + 1 years. The services covered by the framework agreement have an estimated annual value of NOK 150-200 million and will be split between four companies. Multiconsult expects its share of this to be NOK 75-100 million over a two-year period.
